This podcast features Megan Lambert, who is an educator at the Eric Carle Museum in Amherst, Massachusetts. She has developed a technique called the Whole Book Approach which is designed to expand a child’s engagement with picture books during interactive story-times.
For those of you who work with young children, this talk will be very informative and you will be inspired by the techniques as you work with children in your school. You will become even more aware of how the illustrations and text work so harmoniously in picture books.
Megan has also created a Multiple Copy Storytime model for the Eric Carle museum where she conducts programs and does outreach, as well as research. Here at the Fairfield Children’s Library we will begin using multiple copies of books for children in our story-times this upcoming Fall.
