You can ‘borrow’ a librarian to attend and help facilitate your group’s meeting to bring a new persepective to your discussion. Senior Literary Society
Wednesday, March 6 at 11 am – Fairfield Senior Center
For Seniors: Join Town Librarian Karen Ronald and Deputy Town Librarian Nancy Coriaty for a monthly book discussion. This month we will read Wonder by R.J. Palacio.
Thursday, March 7 at 1:30 pm – Fairfield Woods Branch Library
For Adults: The Books & Banter book group has been meeting at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library for several years. Join staff member and passionate reader Laurie Weiner for a lively discussion of this year’s One Book, One Town selection.
Tuesday, March 19 at 4:15 pm – Main Library, Jennings Room
For teens in grade 6 – 8 At this special meeting of our monthly book club, we will talk about what you thought of this year’s community read, Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Oh, and there will be snacks!
Writer’s Contest & Reading

Reading: Tuesday March 19 at 7 pm – Main Library, Memorial Room
For Adults and Teens: What does the concept of kindness mean to you? Share an unpublished work (maximum: 300 words) as a part of our third annual Writer’s Contest for adults and teens (ages 11 and up). Send your submission via email attachment to obot@fplct.org. Please ensure that the attachment only contains the title of the work, not the author’s name. Also please include a cover sheet with the author’s name, contact information, submission category (adult or teen), word count and title of the piece.
Winners will be notified by March 8 and invited to read their works at the Library on March 19. They will also be invited to a special reception for author R.J. Palacio and receive an autographed copy of Wonder.
