How do you delve into the life of another person and make it your own? How do letters, diaries, yellowed newspaper clips and other research materials leap off of the page and become a fully formed biography? In the end, how much of it is the subject’s story and how much the writer’s? Is their any such thing as objec­tivity when it comes to biography?
